Curtis Heuser is one of the midwest's premier decorative artists. His incredibly realistic murals and elegant faux finishes adorn some of America's finest homes.
He is a 1985 graduate of Northern Kentucky University, obtaining a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with a concentration in painting and graphic illustration. Curtis received nurmerous academic scholarships and awards, and was formally honored by the university as the "Outstanding Graduate in Fine Arts."
In 1987, Curtis began working solely as a freelance artist--offering everything from paste up, to fine oil paintings on canvas. In 1989 he began experimenting with hand-applied faux finishes and mural decoration. Today he is recognized as an expert in the decorative arts profession. His highly sought-after work, has been featured in Cincinnati Magazine, Design Magazine, The Kentucky Post and The Cincinnati Enquirer. Several of his commissions have been spotlighted on the nationally syndicated TV show Around the House with Jay Shatz. Curtis's work was recently featured nationwide on HGTV's Before & After Show with host Pat Simpson.
Curtis's current work focuses on custom hand-painted, trompe l'oeil murals--applied to walls, ceilings, floors and furniture.
